Christopher Bussert2025-01-24 Best martini in the west. Not sure when, but I'll be back Adam Sorrels2025-01-21 Stopped here on my way through yellowstone, what a hidden little gem this place it. Great food (had the chicken taiyaki bowl) and the Bartender was super friendly and poured one hell of damn good drink. The old exposed logs set a great atmosphere with the low light setting. Surprisingly had a great little Hemingway museum with some great info. 10 out 10 recommend to stop in. Laurie Trinca2024-09-24 We spent 3 nights in Silver Gate, MT & had drinks/dinner here every night. Great food & fun ambiance with Andrea, Chris & Dan! Check it out if you're in the area! Andy Moore2024-07-12 This is a must stop location if you're coming through the NE corner of Yellowstone. Was recommended while we were staying for a couple nights and blew away our expectations. The Hemingway Museum in the hotel is fascinating and very professionally put together. Chris is a very involved owner and great bartender. The food was great and this is an incredible atmosphere. We'll be returning regularly when we come over from Belgrade. Andrew Miller2024-06-21 Stumbled upon this place on a recent trip to Yellowstone. You have to check this place out if you're ever near Silver Gate. The food is incredible, the drinks are amazing, and the Ernest Hemingway exhibit is super intriguing! The owners are fantastic people. Chris is an owner, an incredible bartender, and just a good fella. His wife does the food and desserts, & although the food menu wasn't extensive, it doesn't have to be and what is on the menu is absolutely delicious. (Had the best Creme Brulee of my life here). Chris wrote a book on Hemingway and his time in the Yellowstone High Country, worth checking out if you're there! If you're on the northern range of Yellowstone, you should make it a point to stop at the Royal Wulff Tavern. Diane Newman2024-06-20 This was a delightful surprise. We have been to Cooke City over a dozen times. Stopping here for dinner was one of the best decisions we made. The building itself is amazing, and the Hemingway museum and artifacts are impressive. Who knew, arugula and caprese in Silver Gate? The chef was so talented and the bartender so engaging. Matt Francis2024-06-17 The wooden beams, creaky uneven floors, eclectic music at just the right volume for easy conversation, the warm accent lighting, the smells of delicious food, whiskey, and the fresh mountain air swirling in conspire to create a place like no other. Chris and Andrea are delightful and make you feel right at home in this historic place... as though the Hemmingway's might walk through the door any minute. Enjoy a Hemmingway inspired cocktail and peruse the museum and history of the Range Rider display and be transported into another time. The Royal Wulff is our new favorite hangout!
